Public Service not only includes the privilege of “serving” but the reward of being able to make a difference. I found out years ago, before I was Mayor of North Las Vegas, how just a few people taking the initiative to attack a problem in the neighborhood could achieve important results.

All of us want change, but real change only occurs when we step out and serve each other. There are important needs that the government should meet, but there are tremendous needs in the community that can only be truly met when we step up and say, “I want to make a difference”.
